Nathan Deal
GOVERNOR

Dear Mrs. Boccia:

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts regarding criminal justice reform.  I appreciate your concerns.

As you may know, I joined Lt. Governor Casey Cagle along with Speaker David Ralston, Chief Justice Carol Hunstein and Representative Jay Neal to establish the 2011 Special Council on Criminal Justice Reform for Georgia.

Dear Governor Deal,

I am writing to each of you in hopes of having the opportunity to set up a meeting, a sort of round table discussion on a very significant issue I have regarding the Fulton County criminal justice system, the Rice Street jail and the burden that is facing our county and our taxpayers. I have written scores of letters on these subjects with very little response.

Okay, now I've heard it all. My son has a pet fighting spider, Ralphie, he's 7 and 0. He lives in a Q Tip box in his locker. Daniel catches him flies. I learned this on my visit with him yesterday. I brought his good friend Abrahm with me, this was Daniel's first visit from a friend.

An open letter to our politicians:

I am writing this letter to address a very significant issue I have regarding the Fulton County criminal justice system, the Rice Street jail and the burden that is facing our county and our taxpayers. I have written scores of letters on these subjects with very little response.

This is what Daniel had me post on his Facebook page. He is feeling like his friends are forgetting about him. It isn't that though, it's that they have busy lives and letter writing is all but a lost art so his only way to communicate is by phone which is extremely expensive.
